LOGOS simply means: "The Word", this program is a tool to help young people learn about the Christian faith, and grow in that faith.
St. Paul's Logos program began in January of 2003. Since 2005 12-week sessions from September to December have been held. Logos meets eachThursday from 3:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in St. Paul's Church Hall. It is a four-part program
The Purpose is to train children and teens, beginning with grade one age. The program is designed to create an environment for learning good theology and disciplined life skills.
LOGOSs is a major ministry throught the dedication by many adults in the St. Paul's congregation who are called of God to "pour themselves" into helping children and teenagers to find their faith in Christ!
Logos Principle: Everyone will treat others as a Children of God. No one will be treated as if they did not matter.
Following the fall session of Logos, a Thursday event for Junior Teens is held from March to May. Significant books and articles are discussed and reviewed as well as times of food, fun and fellowship.
Leader: Rick Dieleman
The class meets in St. Paul's sanctuary each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. This event meets in the time period, after Labour Day in September until the middle of June. The group organizes it self and takes "breaks at Advent - Christmas and some Sundays at Easter-tide".
Currently the curriculum includes, understanding and living out God's design for our lives as we interset with the culture around us. It is a study that presents through DVD and discussion the Biblical agenda for a mission oriented church with a message that resolves God's work in the world. Come and be challenged!
A Vacation Bible School is held each year. A past theme was, "Galilee-by-the-Sea". The children, youth and teachers were to imaginatively think of Jesus in mortar. They were to project what it would be like to live and work in a seaside town beside the Sea of Galilee. Everyone involved heard "the buzz" about this new teacher, Jesus, who was causing quite a stir. The staff and students were divided into 4 tribes, Asher, Judah, Levi, and Zebulon. Everyone began and ended the sessions with a general assembly. There was also Bible Study, snack time and craft building.
There were about 32 students.
